Here’s my experience: Saturday afternoon, I go in and they tell me that they can fill up balloons I bought elsewhere. Great! The customer service guy takes a while to fill them (I had 18) but sells me on balloon weights - it’ll be easier to get them to the car and he ties them to the weights. 🚩 I should have asked the price - $2.00 per balloon so I end up spending $36.00 alone on helium. The next day, the morning of my daughter’s party, less than 12 hours later, we wake up to 16 of the 18 balloons on the floor. 2 are barely holding on (click to see entire photo) I look a little closer and they aren’t tied at all- only clipped with a plastic clip (see photo) 🚩 I go back to the store to get a refund and the store manager - a grumpy middle aged man - goes through the rolodex of excuses while not even acknowledging me with eye contact- “Latex balloons don’t last long” “We don’t guarantee third party balloons” “Our clips aren’t the problem” until he gives in for a refund. 🚩He complains in front of me that his store will get in trouble for refunding helium. You know what? There’s a reason Staples is grasping at straws (Amazon returns, Party City branding) to stay afloat - because their employees aren’t honest and rude to their customers.
