  I was doing a return for Amazon, which was easy and straightforward, no box or label required, which is why I selected this location. They asked if I had a box to put it in because they put it into bags. It got sorted out, but they did have me break it down and put it into their packing bag, which is not the normal process for Amazon returns.

  ​I entered the store with only four items to purchase. While waiting in line, I stood behind a customer who had a basket containing over 50 items and was attempting to process a large number of Amazon returns. While your cashier correctly informed this individual that they were in the wrong line for an Amazon return, the cashier proceeded to process the entire transaction regardless. ​I believe this was a significant lapse in judgment. As a customer with only a few items, I was forced to wait for an extensive amount of time while a high-volume, incorrect-queue transaction was completed. In retail, it is standard practice to prioritize customers with minimal items, particularly when the other party is already in the incorrect line. ​I value Staples as a place to shop, but this experience was inefficient and disrespectful of my time. I hope you will consider implementing a policy or providing further training to your staff to ensure that customers with small orders are not held up by large, misdirected returns. I left and went to Target

  Every time I do an Amazon return at this place, they make a point to tell the "return" customers that the store staff is required to ring up "paying" customers before return customers - they will stop mid-return to attend to other customers. This has happened the last 3 times I've did an Amazon return here - one time, they asked to pause my return to help other "return" customers after me because they had fewer returns than I had. This is extremely unprofessional, and a weird way to inform customers that management can't staff properly. Staples is a vendor for my company, and after these experiences, I will no longer be purchasing from Staples for my personal or business needs.
