Please avoid this place at all cost. Their sole focus is minimize their workload and get done as little as possible without getting immediately fired. The first word exchange with the desk staff was an attempt to divert her responsibility.
I won’t even describe my experience here but let’s just say that it’s not worth arguing with them - save your energy and go elsewhere.
USPS runs on taxpayer dollars. We should have option to vote to let the company be aware of what’s going on. It’s not fair that our tax is being used to paid salary for these employees.
The one star reviews are from consistent real experiences from real people.

Where oh where do I begin?!? If I could leave zero stars I would! Every time I visit this post office I tell myself NEVER AGAIN and this was just another example. There was ONE worker today who was beyond rude, made me open my package, asked me at what temp did the perfume become flammable? WHAT? Then proceeded to tell me I needed a special label which they DO NOT provide OR….I could get back in line and when it was my turn again she would repackage it and ship it. There were now 7 people in line so I said “Um no, I will be going BACK to the UPS store where I might pay more, but I won’t be treated rudely!!!!” The Birmingham post office is the absolute worst with customer service, random hours and the rudest employees! Go to the Secretary of State….they will treat you better!!!!!!

Third time now mail carrier picks up my Poshmark packages late (days later) and then doesn’t scan them. Lost package, lost money angry customer. And the girl who called me back from the post office was very rude and did not care. No help. Aggressive. What is wrong with this post office.
Very dishonest
