Frustrating experience over the phone as well as in person regarding getting my mailbox key/kit after a change of address. Overall, USPS has confusing protocols and lack of communication across different centers in Ann Arbor.

Horrible. I have to mail things for my job - which require me to physically watch the person stamping the mail. EACH time, I am met with complete rudeness. I will not be coming here, because each time I deal with the most repulsive attitudes.

I am extremely disappointed with USPS and the way my case has been handled.
I used USPS Priority Mail to send my passport to the Consulate General of Canada in New York for a visa application. After the application was completed, the passport was mailed back to me using USPS Priority Mail. The tracking information showed that the package was "Delivered," but I never received it.
As soon as I realized the package was missing, I checked my mailbox, spoke with all of my neighbors, and contacted USPS immediately. I opened a Missing Mail Search and fully cooperated with every request. Despite waiting for over a month, USPS has provided no meaningful updates and has been unable to locate my passport.
Losing a passport is not like losing an ordinary package. It contains highly sensitive personal information, and replacing it requires significant time, money, and effort. In my case, it also contained my valid U.S. F-1 visa, which is now lost as well. This has caused tremendous stress and uncertainty regarding my ability to travel and continue my studies.
What is even more frustrating is USPS's refusal to compensate me. Priority Mail includes up to $100 of insurance for many shipments, yet I was told that my package was "not insured" because I did not purchase additional insurance. This response is confusing and inconsistent with what USPS advertises for Priority Mail service.
After more than a month, I have no passport, no explanation, no meaningful investigation results, and no compensation. I expected much better accountability from a national postal service.
DO NOT USE USPS FOR YOUR IMPORTANT DOCUMENTS!

I watched the postal service delivery person today take my package labeled Fragile and actually pick it up higher than necessary to intentionally drop it on my porch with both hands, after walking up to my house holding it in one hand while talking on the phone with the other hand.
