They're push to open automatic doors are always broken at least the button on the outside is, or one door is locked so they don't both open meaning wheelchair users and other mobility aid users can't enter the post office.

UPDATE: If you live in this post office's delivery area and have been having issues with your mail or package delivery (late, lost or misdelivered, scanned as delivered when it wasn't actually delivered, etc.) and/or can't get ahold of anyone there to ask about it, please submit a complaint to the USPS's website on the "Email Us - Postal Facility" link (I'm sorry, I can't add an actual link here, so you'll have to Google it). If we don't tell the higher ups at USPS that this facility is underfunded and understaffed, they won't know to prioritize it. This is an old facility and a LOT of mail goes through here, so it's quite possible that they just need more funding or more people. Original review: Not that writing a review matters, but if you are unfortunate enough to live in this location's delivery region: 1. Good luck getting your mail delivered in a reasonable amount of time. 2. Good luck getting ahold of anyone when you call to find out why your stuff hasn't been delivered and why the tracking information hasn't been updated. Looking at the reviews for other post office locations in the area, this one is the worst by far. That tells me that they either need better management (I don't think that's the case, though) or, more likely, the volume of mail going through this facility has increased significantly with all the people moving to Maine after the pandemic but the facilities, employees, and resources available to process and deliver it have not. The worst part is the fact that there are no alternatives that don't cost way more and end up in the hands of USPS for the "last mile" anyway. Lack of market competition is never a good thing for the consumer.

Incompetent. If I could give lower than one star I would. It is may 26th. I submitted a change of address April 9th. I waited patiently, reached out after a while. Told it was being held in gardiner and would be delivered to Portland in 2-3 days. Nothing. So I call and complain again. I was informed the post office worker didn’t even submit my change of address, and they lied to me saying it was being held in gardiner. 50 days of mail sent back to sender. All I get is a “sorry” this is pathetic. EVERYONE IF YOU CANT FOLLOW SIMPLE DIRECTION THE GARDINER POST OFFICE IS HIRING!!!

In the winter time I never get packages delivered to my house. They say they try to deliver but no one is home...it’s never true. My road gets plowed and sanded but they just don’t wanna do it. I’ve brought it to the attention of the Post Master and nothing ever happens
