  I have lost 3 consecutive packages one marked as delivered and others that only mark On the way and is not updated I must wait a month to be able to make a claim

  I don't use the mail service counter here often, but the handful of times I have, the staff have always had a terrible attitude. I showed up to return my PO Box key, and I didn't realize they closed soon, which was my bad. Instead of simply communicating that they were closing, the guy at the counter said, "Why are you showing up [swear] 2 minutes before closing time?", and angrily told me the process takes a long time. All I had to do was write down my name and contact info. I was out the door and in my car by 4:45, most of that time taken up by the guy rudely speaking & swearing. There's no need to treat people terribly who were nice with you from the start.

  Went from one of the best to the worst postal service hubs in a year, no consistent delivery, everything is always delayed or delivered to wrong address. Not sure what had happened but most people I talk to say management and toxic environment. Really stinks to be a Boothbay rural route customer. Waiting an extra 3-7 days for packages is ridiculous and unacceptable. The reviews here reflect the service correctly, just hoping for improvement as I mentioned it was a great service and hopefully is again soon. As of July 2026 this post office is still not delivering mail in a timely fashion, I have not received my newly issued credit cards or my insurance bills. I've dropped my 2 stars to 1 as this has grossly continued without any change.

  Worst post office I’ve ever had to deal with. We never get our mail delivered, it takes days on end to get deliveries, we get stacks of mail and we constantly get mail that isn’t ours and packages are always lost or “delayed” for no reason. The people who work there are rude and don’t listen to you at all when you’re trying to figure something out.

  We have a Boothbay Post Office, however, we can only mail out from it. We now have to go through the Boothbay Harbor post office. For the past year, we have Not had consistent delivery of any type of mail, at one point we went almost 2 weeks without any mail, when trying to get that mail, they wouldn’t/couldn’t give it to us. They won’t even hold it back. The deliveries are sporadic in time and days. When calling or going into Boothbay Harbor (04538) they are rude and dismissive. When calling they are unfriendly and never apologize. Today, my package delivered to another address on Sunday, is missing. It was not left in my mailbox, we watched the Van go by 5/6 times, and never delivered to us, yet it says delivered . I would rather pick up from Boothbay (04537) post office, then this current run around. Lack of employees? Look at your management.
