  I came here to pick up some printer ink and return three Amazon packages. The packages were already sealed and labeled exactly as instructed, so I expected it to be a pretty straightforward visit. Unfortunately, the experience at the print desk was surprisingly unpleasant. The employee told me I should have taken the packages to a UPS location instead, but never really explained why, since I had followed the return instructions. While processing the returns, she repeatedly complained about the line getting longer and admitted that she didn’t really know how to use the system. I understand that nobody enjoys seeing a line build up, and everyone can have a bad morning. But as a customer, it was uncomfortable having an employee complain about other customers waiting while I was standing there simply trying to use a service Staples offers. I was courteous, had everything packaged and labeled, and was only returning three items. I had also planned to buy printer ink while I was there and even had a coupon, but the attitude was off-putting enough that I decided to leave and buy it at Micro Center instead. That’s the part I think Staples is missing. Offering Amazon returns brings people into the store who might not otherwise have stopped in, and there’s a good chance they’ll purchase something while they’re there. I was literally doing exactly that. But if customers are made to feel like they’re inconveniencing the employees by using the service, they’re probably not going to stick around and shop. My company also does a significant amount of printing through this location, so I’ve had other reasons to use this store and I’m not writing it off over one interaction. Hopefully this was simply someone having a bad morning, and I’ll give them another try. But based on this visit, if you’re coming here for an Amazon return, be prepared to feel like you’re inconveniencing someone for using a service they offer.

  Great place to make print outs and purchase office supplies. Although I gave 5stars I think they should invest in more than once cutter at the printing station. I had to wait almost 30 minutes for a guy cutting out flyers. Also, some of the prices of items are way too expensive. I’d rather purchase it at another store or online where it’s much cheaper.

  I had a very frustrating experience here on July 11 while trying to return an Amazon mattress during an interstate move. Amazon specifically directed me to Staples, and my Amazon return instructions clearly stated “No shipping box required” and “No printer required.” I showed these instructions to the staff, but they would not accept the return and repeatedly told me I needed to purchase a box. I spent approximately two hours trying to resolve the issue. Eventually, I had to change my Amazon return method to UPS, print a UPS label, and the package was finally accepted at this same location. I have the Amazon instructions, photos, and the Staples/UPS drop-off receipt documenting the return. The delay caused significant stress and disrupted my interstate travel plans that evening. I hope management reviews what happened and makes sure employees handling Amazon returns understand the procedures shown to customers.
