  I have a PO BOX at the Oxon Hill Post Office. The entire staff at this post office do an excellent job dealing with customers, signing families up for passport pictures and getting the pictures taken, and handling packages. I especially want to recognise Andre Johnson, who takes care of the locks on the boxes, takes the pictures, and sometimes works at the front counter. He always has a smile, a very pleasant, friendly demeanor, and is quick on his feet. My only complaint is with the condition of the parking lot. a. It needs to be repaved as there are a lot of elderly people who go to this post office and it is full of tripping hazards. b. It is full of empty bottles, leaves and other debris and needs to be cleaned up. c. More designated Handicapped spaces are needed as I go there regularly and always see people with canes (like me), walkers or rollators trying to park there and get into the building. d. The rose bush on the right side of the entrance needs to be trimmed. I, like many others, am allergic to bees, and on Friday, I had to evade one of those bees to prevent a bee sting.   I am taking the time to show appreciation to the Postal Service Office in Oxon Hill. I grew up right on the border of Fort Washington and Oxon Hill, and my parents always went to the Oxon Hill Post Office. Now, I understand why. While I have issues with other locations, I have never had an issue with documents and packages I've sent from this office being delivered in a timely manner. Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I know that you all understaffed, but you all always come through where it matters.

  Came here to apply for a passport. Carrier placed my passport in someone else’s mailbox miles from my home.supervisor Yolanda was aware and no consequences for the carrier who didn’t wanna find my address and instead placed my passport in someone else’s mailbox. Then my supporting docs have yet to be returned. My son’s docs came back opened as if someone tried to steal his information. DO NOT APPLY FOR A PASSPORT AT THIS location !!! SUPERVISOR YOLANDA SAID ITS JOT A BIG DEAL MY PASSPORT WAS MAILED TO SOMEONE ELSES HOME! It’s been over 30 days and no sign of my birth certificate. They are probably stealing identities at this location. It’s always packed and slow moving. Idk how I can ask for my mail to no longer go thru this post office !

  THEY WILL LOSE YOUR MAIL AND IGNORE YOU. AVOID! This is the worst post office I have ever used. If you want your mail delivered, go somewhere else. Here is why you should avoid this location: THEY BLOCKED MY MAIL: I paid for mail forwarding, but I didn't get a single letter for over a month. An investigation finally proved that the staff here manually marked my active, paid-for PO Box as “Vacant.” This mistake sent all my important legal and financial documents back to the senders. THEY CAN’T SORT MAIL: For months, they kept putting a stranger’s mail in my private box. I complained multiple times, but they never fixed it. They clearly don't check the names on the envelopes. THEY LIE ABOUT FIXING PROBLEMS: When I filed complaints, the supervisors here just closed my tickets and marked them "resolved" without doing anything. It is a total scam to make their numbers look good while the customer gets nothing. THEY WON’T GIVE REFUNDS: Even after admitting they made the "Vacant" error that ruined my mail delivery, they refused to refund the money I paid for the service. They take your money, mess up your life, and take zero responsibility. I have proof from "Informed Delivery" that my mail reached the area, but the people at this specific desk are the ones who stopped it. I’ve had to contact Congress just to get a response. STAY AWAY. Use any other post office but this one.

  Only one person working today with very little concern for customers time. There was a line of 10 people. A customer asked politely if they could ask for help to get the line moving and the woman dismissed her request and concern. She is the only one up front during lunch time where people are trying to return to work. The person working often left the room in a very slow pace.
