I am extremely disappointed with the service at this post office. The customer service is consistently poor, and some employees are rude, dismissive, and unprofessional when customers ask for assistance. A post office should be a place where customers can expect basic courtesy and help resolving issues, not hostility or an attitude for simply asking questions. More concerning is the ongoing issue with packages. I have had packages shipped through this location that have gone missing or cannot be accounted for. When you trust USPS with your mail and packages, you expect them to be handled properly and delivered to their intended destination. Having packages disappear is frustrating enough, but receiving poor customer service when trying to find out what happened makes the situation even worse. There needs to be greater accountability at this location regarding how packages are handled, tracked, and delivered, as well as significant improvement in how customers are treated. Management should take these complaints seriously and address both the customer service issues and the repeated problems with missing packages. Based on my experiences, I have very little confidence in this location and would not recommend using it for important or valuable shipments.

I don't usually make posts like this, but after dealing with the same issues for years, it's time. My experience with the Oxon Hill Post Office has been incredibly frustrating. The employees inside have generally been professional and helpful, but my experience with mail delivery has been a different story. There was a time when being a postal carrier came with a sense of pride and respect. Today, at least based on what I've personally experienced, the level of service has declined. I've watched carriers show up looking unprofessional, deliver mail inconsistently, and fail to complete deliveries correctly. Just today, I watched my carrier deliver only part of my mail, then leave a notice claiming a delivery attempt was made. My security camera tells a different story. Instead of paying attention to the job, maybe spend less time on the phone and more time making sure people receive the mail they're entitled to. What's especially frustrating is that so many qualified people are desperately looking for stable employment, yet some individuals who already have these jobs seem comfortable doing the bare minimum because they know their positions are relatively secure. Not every carrier deserves this criticism, but the ones who consistently fail their customers make the entire Postal Service look bad. Respect is earned through professionalism, accountability, and doing the job right—not simply wearing the uniform.

USPS FORT WASHINGTON MD: I want to recognize Dominique Prioleau for the exceptional customer service she provided during our passport renewal appointment. After arriving at our scheduled appointment at another post office, we discovered it had been closed and no one had notified us, even though we had received a confirmation email. We were frustrated and unsure what to do next. Thankfully, we were directed to this location, where Dominique completely turned our experience around. Although she was already assisting another customer, she welcomed us with kindness, professionalism, and patience. She answered every question we had, carefully walked us through our passport renewal paperwork, ensured everything was completed correctly, helped us with the money orders, and made certain our applications were properly prepared for mailing. Throughout the entire process, Dominique was warm, courteous, and genuinely cared about providing outstanding service. She went above and beyond what we expected and transformed what had started as a stressful morning into a positive experience. Employees like Dominique Prioleau are a tremendous asset to the United States Postal Service. She deserves to be recognized for her professionalism, dedication, and exceptional customer care. Thank you, Dominique, for making such an important process so much easier for my husband and me.

I have a PO BOX at the Oxon Hill Post Office. The entire staff at this post office do an excellent job dealing with customers, signing families up for passport pictures and getting the pictures taken, and handling packages. I especially want to recognise Andre Johnson, who takes care of the locks on the boxes, takes the pictures, and sometimes works at the front counter. He always has a smile, a very pleasant, friendly demeanor, and is quick on his feet. My only complaint is with the condition of the parking lot. a. It needs to be repaved as there are a lot of elderly people who go to this post office and it is full of tripping hazards. b. It is full of empty bottles, leaves and other debris and needs to be cleaned up. c. More designated Handicapped spaces are needed as I go there regularly and always see people with canes (like me), walkers or rollators trying to park there and get into the building. d. The rose bush on the right side of the entrance needs to be trimmed. I, like many others, am allergic to bees, and on Friday, I had to evade one of those bees to prevent a bee sting. Have a nice week. Carmen I Ricketts
