I just had an absolutely terrible experience at this UPS Store after being a loyal customer for over 15 years. The ownership recently changed, and unfortunately the atmosphere went from very friendly to extremely unfriendly.
The new owner got into a shouting match with me and insisted that I provide the recipient’s UK tax ID in order to ship a professional book that I wrote myself — a $20 gift from me (the author) to the recipient in the UK.
I was also told that the package could be returned with no refund, despite the fact that I paid nearly $60 for shipping.
Does anybody know where the previous owners went? I’m looking for a new UPS Store ASAP, preferably near Montgomery Mall/Bethesda. :-(
Quick and professional. Love that it’s conveniently located in my neighborhood, the store is always well staffed, the line is short and they are very easy and efficient. Top for returns, way better than Staples.
Anita gave me excellent service even though the store was busy she took her time with me and was very patient!

We went in for notary services (a long document) and watched Anita, Cassie and Anna manage a super-busy store with courtesy and efficiency. It was not an easy crowd. But these three were professional, respectful, cheerful, and got the job done. Brilliant!
I’ve had consistently bad experiences at the UPS Store at Westfield Montgomery Mall, but my last visit was the final straw. Every single time I’ve come here, there’s been some kind of issue, but this time made it clear I won’t be returning.
I live just 5 minutes away, yet I’d rather drive farther than deal with this location again. The owner is extremely difficult to deal with. He’s unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to resolve problems. Instead, he redirects customers to people he claims are district managers, which leads nowhere and resolves nothing. It feels completely pointless trying to get any real help.
To be fair, the staff seem to just be following the owner’s direction, so the root of the problem clearly comes from management.
Save yourself the frustration and go to literally any other location! Even if it’s farther away!! It’s worth it.
