  My wife loves to loudly yell over my shoulder “do NOT throw that out! I’ll sell it. Someone could use that, it’s in great condition…practically brand new!” Which of course leads me to (almost) ask why she bought the item in the first place if we never ended up using it and now I’m here unearthing it in the attic like fossil in western Utah. THAT being left unsaid of course she sells probably 1.3 things she claims she’s going to sell. The rest end up BACK in the attic where this whole story began. ONE of the things she sold she forgot to mail out the night before going away for a few days. The buyer was expecting it at a specified time and it needed to be mailed “tomorrow PLEASE!” I am a 50 year old man and somehow I’ve managed to dodge the Post Office for pretty much all 50 of my years. I just have a great wife that handles things like that and it’s not a place I ever need to go. So going in I had the address of where the item was going and the item itself. I would not have known where to even begin if not for the welcoming and sincere “how can I help you today?” I was greeted with by Allison behind the counter. She walked me thru every step, explaining everything along the way in a manner that I could probably walk in next time and mail something myself! She was great. When I tell you she not only banged out every step of the process she did it happily. Just exactly what service should always be when someone is “working” somewhere. Thank you Allison. I hope you see this and you have a better day because of it. I was the clueless guy mailing the football jersey late on a Friday. 😊

  The two postal workers there today were really wonderful and helpful and kind. Sorry I think I may have ruined your sharpie! 😅 10/10 would use again.

  I usually avoid the Wilmington Post Office as often as I can. But I had a return with a prepaid label and figured just get it done. I arrived at 4:42p and there were four people ahead of me including the one at the counter. This woman stated she had multiple transactions, Betty behind the desk told her to hurry it along as they close at 5p. The woman at the counter said I am here and you need to work with me. Next the woman went to ask for a money order before she finished she was told the machine was down. She moved to her next one and had many questions on how sending certified mail worked and what boxes needed to be checked to get the information she needed/wanted. Betty was not pleasant in helping her. It was very awkward to be in line and see this exchange. By 450p I dropped my return off and had my receipt. As I left a man who had been in line before me went to ask her a question and she said "you all set?" He says "almost" she replied "well you better hurry up we close at 5p". When I walked in and saw she was the only one working I wanted to walk out because it is never a pleasant experience with her. Then to witness this exchange between her and an older woman makes me want to follow my gut next time because when I got up there she was still sighing. I get it they close at 5p but people are in there before 5p, therefore they deserve to be serviced with a smile and no attitude.
