- PSPeter SolomonFeb 3, 20251.0Was home all day. Got a slip in my mailbox saying "sorry we missed you" yet my neighbors packages were there. Notice says I need to go pick it up tomorrow. I call the post office and they say that there are rules that they can't wait for anyone. Person on the line did not realize I worked for the post office. They are supposed to make an attempt when there is a signature required and make a second attempt. That is why the signature space is on the back. They are not supposed to give up delivery on just the first attempt. In this case there was not even a first attempt. My bell was never rang. Post office needs to pay a living wage and hire more people. Not make excuses for poor service just to escape responsibility
