Excelent customer service! Paola saved my day. I went there because I put the wrong address on a package and online said that It was returned to the sender, I explained that to her and even though It was a long line of people, she went above and beyond looking for my package and she found it. Paola is awesome. Give her a raise 😄

Paola is an unprofessional worker she doesn’t want to do her job I came for a passport at 330pm, they do passport walkins on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-430. I was there at 330 and they told me an appointment was needed which isn’t true , when I made that clear they just came up with excuses. If the walkin time is 2-430 there is no reason why at 330 I’m being told they can’t help me. Highly unprofessional to tell someone come from 2-430 while Paola is closing whenever she feels like she doesn’t want to do passports anymore.

Mail lost when being delivered to the Lawrence Housing authority, regularly. This not only includes housing renewals docs but also money orders sent by the residents and checks sent by the bank. This is putting disabled persons at risk of losing their home. It also creates a lot of extra work for the institutions involved, requiring extra manpower to look into these claims, confirm that it was not fault of the tenant, cancel lost checks/money orders and then reinstate them. A lot of these disabled persons do not know how to use the internet or are unable to due to health conditions, and they lack transport or funds for transport. It’s extra money that they have to spend to go to the bank or the establishment that furnished the money order to go look into this. And for some of them, calling is not an option because they don’t have the verbal capacity to explain their case, not even in their native language. I have read other reviews of postmen not delivering the mail. It’s true that when you go to the post office, all the employees at the counter are very helpful. I don’t know what is happening with the deliveries to the Lawrence Housing Authority, but it is creating a lot of stress for the elderly and whoever has to assist them.

353 Elm St postman doesn’t always put the mail in the resident locked mailboxes, even when the apartment number is clearly written on the letter or package: he often puts everything on the counter of that building's mailroom & the elderly/disabled residents have to sort thru the mail of more than 50 people. This is how my uncle’s heart monitor was stolen (a resident had taken it, opened the box & then taped it put it back several days later. Another neighbor gave it to my uncle). My uncle’s heart condition was unsupervised for several days when he was at-risk of heart trauma. The behavior from this postman is not only creating stress for these vulnerable population; it is a health hazard. For this type of population that often receives medication and letters from insurance, they should appoint a postman that is more responsible. BTW, one neighbor stated that her Masshealth was cancelled and she missed several procedures pending reinstatement because she never received a letter in which Masshealth requested documentation. I don’t know if the postman from there is also throwing out or failing to deliver mail or if some mail is simply getting lost in the shuffle of all the mail being clumped together on the counter. BTW, I'm not rating the postmen that are in the post office front desk (all very helpful), nor other postmen. I'm specifically only rating the postman for this one place. And it's not all the time, so I don't know if it's the regular postman doing this or the replacement. But this needs to be looked into because it has been going on for a longtime and it is a true health hazard.
