- MOmaratanac oJun 3, 20261.0Absolutely the worst USPS experience I’ve ever had. I went there to apply for my newborn’s passport, and not only was every employee unfriendly, but they also provided incorrect information despite charging for the service. We specifically asked whether we needed documentation showing that our baby’s Social Security Number had not yet been issued. We were told it was not necessary, so we submitted the application without it. As a result, the passport application was placed on hold. We paid extra for expedited processing because we have upcoming travel plans, but now the application is expected to be delayed by more than 10 days because of their misinformation. If the passport is not issued in time, I fully intend to file a formal complaint about the employee who handled our application. The poor service was not limited to one person. Both the male and female employees at the front counter were extremely rude and unhelpful. Everyone walking in seemed to leave frustrated. Avoid this location if possible. It’s an embarrassment to Cambridge.

The lines in the tax season, when I mainly used this office, could become quite long, and not all the counters were always open then. Interestingly, the first time I was sending my taxes, the clerk got somewhat irritated that I picked a Priority Mail envelope (mostly to fit everything nicely without folding) and thus paid more than I needed.
