This place is a mess. This is the public counter where you put your packages… The employees are so apathetic it’s pathetic. What in the world happened to the postal service??

I had an extremely uncomfortable experience at this USPS location. I went there to submit a payment for the Brazilian Consulate, and the employee helping me, Michael, repeatedly made inappropriate personal comments and flirted with me while I was simply trying to complete my transaction. He asked me my age, told me I was “gorgeous,” and said he wanted to marry someone my age. His comments were completely unsolicited and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. When I realized I was missing some information and needed to go back home, he told me he “couldn’t wait” for me to come back. I felt so uncomfortable that I chose not to return and instead drove to another USPS location much farther away to complete my transaction. Customers should be able to visit a post office and receive professional service without being subjected to unwanted personal or romantic comments from an employee. I will not be returning to this location.

The elderly man who works there might be one of the nastiest people I have ever met. He has a hair-trigger temper, regularly yells at customers over benign requests, and mocks people for no reason. On days he’s particularly irritable, he’ll start turning people away early on a whim — for example, last week someone walked in at 4:50 with a labeled package to drop off, no one in line, and he shouted, “Come on, the post office closes at 5, we’re closed, get out,” until they left. This is also the only post office I know of that doesn’t let you drop off things with prepaid labels and instead demands you scan them in at the counter. I suspect he decided this on his own, because when I ran into another postman loading the truck outside one day, he was totally fine with me just tossing what I was carrying in the collection bin.

This is the only post office that makes you wait in line to drop off packages that already have labels printed on them. It’s absolutely infuriating and causes significant delays. The current staff is not equipped to handle this location. USPS please resolve this issue!!

It is widely known in the neighborhood that this is genuinely the WORST postal branch. Every interaction with one particular employee is incredibly rude; see dozens of other 1-star reviews. (Sarcastically said "Oh, they'll LOVE this" about a birthday card I was mailing!) They also close early with no warning, and regularly refuse to help/answer questions and refer you to the Central Square branch instead. Get it together!!
