  I work for a small local business who receives a good bit of online orders. I needed to mail orders for my boss while she was out of town, and this post office is the closest to my home. Went on Saturday morning for the first round of orders and was given an attitude by one of the women and pretty much dismissed when I said I needed a receipt as proof of shipment. She scanned my first package and printed a receipt and just tossed the rest of the boxes in a bin and told me that’s it. Came back today for the second round of orders that needs to be shipped and was told she wouldn’t give me receipt because it was more than 10 items and she’s by herself. She also stated she was about to “stop taking drop offs.” Like what? That’s literally the job… I then watched her tell the customer in front of her that she was irritated, then tell him to “hold on” while she answered a phone call and loudly complained about being at the front alone and having a line, asking when she was going to take her lunch, and saying this is too much. Obviously this location is short staffed, but the attitudes and refusal to help customers is ridiculous. I drove from mid city to Metairie to drop off the packages and they scanned every single one and printed a receipt as proof of shipment for my boss with no problem. If you’re running a small business, I highly advise against using this location.

  This post office is the closest one to my house. I have been going here for four years and every time either the staff is rude or unhelpful, but this last time was absolutely the worst. I was mailing goods to three different locations, and the man was so busy telling me what a beautiful day and wonderful life it was that he did not scan the barcode correctly. When I asked him to double check that it had been done correctly and the three packages would go to the three different addresses. He assured me that he did. Well of course he did not. 4-6 weeks for this error and making my business look bad. Thanks a bunch. What a beautiful day.

  I’ve cancelled my subscription to the New Yorker because I wasn’t receiving all the magazines in the mail. They go missing and never arrive. Today I found last month’s issue sticking out of the mailbox addressed to me at an empty neighboring house. Modern times I am unable to reach anyone by phone to address the problem. I have another subscription that goes missing, too. Hasn’t been arriving in the mail. In the last 3 months too many paid subscriptions not arriving by US Mail. I wish magazines would use a more reliable mail delivery service. Used to be nice when US mail worked.

  I had to get stamps last month (APRIL26). This place is a dump. Staff was okay.
