- KNKen NagelbergMay 2, 20265.0The Madisonville PO is very helpful. Nice employees. It's actually much closer to me (7 miles) than my "home" PO (Ponchatoula --15 miles). Mandeville is also pretty good, but usually more crowded. Outside drop boxes have been removed.

Today an elderly, blonde-haired, female postal worker (did not get her name) stood inches from my daughters face and yelled at her for arriving minutes before closing and being the last person in line to mail a package. After verbally berating her, she refused to mail the package and demanded she leave. So much for the Christmas spirit!!! Since when does business hours end BEFORE the posted business hours! At no time should a customer be belittled and yelled at by anyone at the post office. Perhaps the local postmaster should evaluate the personnel they put in a customer service position. Had they answered the phone, I would have complained to the person in charge that day. Go to Mandeville or Covington location and avoid being ridiculed at the Madisonville location - its worth the extra few minutes! Zero stars is actually more appropriate.
