It takes an additional two or more days for mail to transit between DeRidder and addresses outside southwest Louisiana. I have been to this post office for simple things, and been informed that they are not accepting debit or credit cards for payment, only cash or check. In 2017. Seriously. This has happened. The excuse is weather. This office is a shining example of why the USPS cannot compete with other similar services that are not propped up by taxpayer money.
