I’ve had multiple packages not show up or marked as delivered at mailbox when they’re not there. I had a new occurrence today however with a package that they claimed they tried to deliver but that the address was vacant when I watched the mail person not even get out of their van or deliver any mail of the sorts. They just drove down my road and turned around. USPS do better.

I would literally give them a 0 if I could, the mail person's don't even know how to look at house numbers for deliveries, so if you order something it may go to your house or two streets over, its shameful what the postal service has become

Rural routes ((might)) receive service. 3 package pickup requests now in a year closed and ignored. No one ever picks up the phone at the location. No calls back , no resolutions.

It is extremely difficult to get in touch with this post office because the phone is rarely, if ever, answered. There seems to be no reliable way to contact anyone when there is an issue. I have also experienced problems with deliveries being marked as “delivered” when they actually were not. In one instance, a package was marked delivered but did not arrive until five days later. At first I thought it had been stolen from my porch, but it turned out the delivery status was simply inaccurate. Additionally, do not rely on checking your P.O. box when the email says mail should be ready around “10 something.” Based on my experience, it is often closer to a day behind. If you are following the daily delivery emails, it’s probably best to assume your mail will show up the next day instead. Overall, the communication and delivery reliability need improvement. The post office would benefit from being run more like a customer-focused business and less like a government entity where accountability and responsiveness seem to be lacking.

This is getting ridiculous Don't they train their new mail carriers any more. Sometimes I feel like they just carry the mail down to the Court House square and hand random idiots sacks of mail and tell them to deliver it. So today my bill didn't go out because one of the little new "Newmans" were delivering and crammed my incoming mail on top of my outgoing mail AGAIN! I am really getting disgusted with Madisonville post office my regular mailman needs paid double and they need to let him teach these new little "Newmans" how to deliver mail. 8/15/26 Yet again the little Newman that delivered mail today crammed my mail on top of my outgoing bills, I had clipped to my mailbox with a magnetic clothespin, so they didn't even have to reach in the box to get them. Once again I had the red flag up on my box. I always know when my regular mailman is off or on vacation cause you always have these untrained idiots working. You can't call, nobody answers. You can't talk to anyone in charge cause you are always told he is out, but we will give him your message. Sure they do. This Post Office and their total disregard for their customers is a big black mark on the otherwise friendly city of Madisonville, KY.
