  My experience at the store was mixed. In the end, the representative who checked us out while buying supplies for my son's fourth birthday was extremely kind, helpful, and provided wonderful customer service. However, prior to that, we asked about invitation designs and the young staff member who assisted us had a terrible attitude.

  I just left this Staples, and unfortunately this was not the first strange and frustrating experience I’ve had here. The first time, my husband and I came in looking for a flash drive. We asked several employees where we could find one, and every person sent us to a completely different part of the store. On another visit, we were looking for a folder and had almost the exact same experience. Employees would simply point in a general direction instead of actually helping us locate the item. Both times, we ended up spending around 20 minutes walking around the store trying to find something very basic. Today, we came in to print some documents. Instead of printing the actual attached file, the machine kept printing the body of the email. I asked an employee for help, and her first reaction was basically, “Oh, this is happening again,” which made it sound like this is already a known issue. I explained that I just needed help printing the document. She told me to send it as a file, but that did not solve the problem. She then gave us an email address to send the document to, but the address did not work. During the whole process, she kept walking away, and we had to repeatedly approach her again ourselves to ask what to do next. After trying multiple times, nobody really took ownership of the problem or helped us find another solution, so we eventually left without being able to print anything. At this point, I honestly don’t think this is only an issue with one employee. It feels like there may be a bigger problem with staffing, training, management, or employee morale at this location. I don’t know whether they are understaffed, underpaid, or simply not given enough support, and I don’t want to unfairly blame the employees themselves. But as a customer, the experience is consistently frustrating because it feels like nobody really wants or is able to help. I really hope management looks into this, because basic things like locating a product or printing a document should not turn into a 20–30 minute struggle.
