  If you are looking for a UPS Store where customer service is apparently an optional feature, this is the location for you. I have been to this location multiple times, and somehow the customer service manages to be consistently unpleasant every single time. The employees routinely come across as irritated, dismissive, and genuinely inconvenienced by the presence of customers. Today was no exception. I came in today with a return and greeted the employee politely and with a smile. I was immediately met with a rude and unnecessarily loud, “You have to go to USPS!” I explained that the company I purchased the item from specifically instructed me to return it to the UPS Store at the 21st & Tyler location. I even pulled up the return instructions on my phone and attempted to show them to her. Rather than simply taking a moment to look at the information or explain the situation professionally, I was met with the same dismissive attitude. I believe the employee’s name was Erma. What I can say with certainty is that there was absolutely no reason to speak to a customer that way. And unfortunately, this was not a one-time occurrence. Our previous experience at this location was also unpleasant because of the staff’s attitude, even when seeing another associate. What makes this even more frustrating is that there are negative reviews from months ago specifically mentioning the same employees and the same behavior, yet those employees are apparently still there and nothing seems to have changed. At some point, you have to wonder what the purpose of leaving customer reviews is if management is simply going to ignore the exact same complaints over and over again. When multiple customers, months apart, are describing the same rude behavior from the same employees, it stops looking like an isolated bad interaction and starts looking like a management failure. I understand that working with the public can be frustrating. However, customers should not have to walk into a business wondering whether they are going to be treated like an inconvenience simply for asking for assistance. If you dislike your job, that is unfortunate, but customers should not be made to feel it every time they walk through the door. At this point, I would strongly recommend taking your business to another UPS location if you have the option. There is no shortage of places willing to provide basic courtesy, and apparently “basic courtesy” is a fairly ambitious request at this particular location. Hopefully management eventually decides that the repeated negative reviews are worth addressing. Because judging by the reviews that were already here months ago, this clearly isn’t a new problem — it’s just one that nobody seems particularly interested in fixing.

  This location is so close to my house I wish I could frequent it. Unfortunately the employees at this location make it unbearable. I will use a different location until the staff changes.
