This is the first time I’ve had a good experience at the USPS. There’s a woman here named Teri, and she is very kind. She should teach a course to all post office employees on how to serve the public.

I live in the Lenexa area and all my packages get delivered from this location. I get a subscription box every month and somehow it doesn't get delivered half the time. Either I have to go into the post office to get my package or it just doesn't come at all or gets returned to sender (the address has always been the same but it's been claimed that it doesn't exist?). I think this locations needs more staffing because clearly the work is too much for the staff they do have.

I went here to verify my change of address in person with a barcode, but did not bring my ID, so I have to go back. It used to be that the now $1.25 fee paid online with a personal debit card verified the change of address. Oh well. The customer service was friendly enough and there was no wait. It is kind of off the beaten path with no sidewalks to traverse Europe from the local neighborhoods.

Be careful who hand postmarks your letters!! I mailed a few of my wedding invitations today and asked for them to be hand-canceled due to the wax seals on the back. James proceeded to tell me that there would be an extra, non-machinable charge for each envelope (see attached picture) because they couldn't go through the [postmarking] machine. I tried to explain that that's exactly why I wanted to get them postmarked by hand, and that per the website, hand-canceling letters is free. He still proceeded to print the mailing labels, put them on the envelopes, hand-stamp them, and charged me anyway.
I am really glad I decided to mail the bulk of my other invitations on a Wednesday morning. I was helped by a sweet, dark-haired lady (wish I could remember her name). She was patient and completely unfazed at individually stamping 75 envelopes, and I wasn’t charged a dime.
I generally don't have any issues mailing letters or packages, but this interaction was really annoying.
