6/10/26 Mail delivery to our address has been repeatedly suspended without clear cause or consistent explanation. Our mailbox and post meets all USPS requirements, yet new “issues” continue to be identified each time previous concerns are addressed. When I requested documentation showing that service was suspended repeatedly, who authorized the suspension, and the reason for it, I was informed that those records were “not available or don’t exist.” How can our mail delivery be constantly interrupted without documentation as to why?… This is the only notice they’ve given me (photo below) and when I asked the employee questions about it. She replied “oh I shouldn't have put that, oh I shouldn’t have put that either.” Then why was it marked? Did you even actually physically look at my mailbox that’s “leaning and not 42in high?” It’s also incredibly convenient that the day after I make a complaint online they coincidentally stop delivering mail again for bs reasons with the only notice I've gotten claiming there are “issues” with my post. I’ve been up there 4 times just since April. It is extremely concerning that our mail service can be interrupted without clear documentation or accountability for that matter. These repeated delivery interruptions have had real consequences, including delays affecting important benefits, financial matters, and prescription and medical-related correspondence. Receiving mail should NOT be this difficult. Review the routes, hire extra people if need be, or escalate the matter to see if other local offices can pick up part of the route (we’re closer to the Pekin office than Salem.) I should NOT have to raise and lower my mailbox to meet exactly the height of whatever delivery vehicle they decide to use. Sometimes it’s a Jeep, sometimes it’s a van. I am disappointed by the lack of transparency and the ongoing disruption to an essential service. Customers deserve clear communication, consistent standards, and RELIABLE mail delivery. Based off of the other reviews this is NOT an isolated incident. Many other Salem residents are experiencing delays or withdrawal of delivery (especially packages) as well. I’ve added a photo of their “complaints” along with photos of our post still meeting guidelines. We even moved it even closer the road but now it’ll be “too close” or “too high up.” As of 6/9/2026 our mail service still remains suspended before the date given at the bottom 6/13/26.

The mail carrier is not doing her job, lazy, we are at the end of her route, so she's just decides to not deliver the mail. Also the supervisor is not doing her job of training her employees on a job. They never pickup the phone, no matter the time of the day, or the day of the call. I had to come and pick up my package, and on the question, why don't you pick up the phone, the answer is, the manager is on Zoom calls, and it interrupts an internet. Do they think we are that stupid, and live in 90s?

I’m sure the staff is great and all, but the way USPS delivery system works is really bad. I order packages from Amazon and for some reason they list that I have to come and pick it up once I’m available for pick up. There is no evidence of me stating that or sending out the request for my packages. They also claim they “attempted the deliveries” to my home, but we have cameras pointing to our entryway and we go back to review to see if they indeed try to come, but find out they don’t actually come to our home. They drop our packages to the nearest most available home they can find. This has been an ongoing thing for over two years and unfortunately I should have listened to my husband regarding this issue. Looks like packages can be delivered to CVS in Salem per Amazon Pick Up website. Looks like I’ll have to do that instead!
