However, I had to drop mail in the exterior collection box out in the parking lot, and at 3 p.m. today that ONE box was overflowing, mail sticking out. I did not have the time to go inside to report this, so I tried calling. One number listed led me to the Annex on Summit Street. That number kept ringing, unanswered while I stayed on for over 3 minutes. There's an 800 number: that one asked me to wait while others were being helped or leave a callback number which is the option I chose. So when do they call back? The two telephone rings didn't allow me time interrupt my appointment to answer. A third number, not indicating a particular location except that it has a 219 area code, also just kept ringing. So, folks, if your mail gets lost or stolen, you have only the USPS to blame because they can't pick up a phone.
