I had a passport appointment scheduled for my baby at the USPS Tinley Park location. We arrived on time, only to be told that our appointment had been canceled because no one was available to process passport applications. What made this even more frustrating was that the clerk was surprised and said someone should have called us that morning to let us know. We never received a phone call, email, or any notification. Instead, we wasted our time bringing a newborn to the post office for an appointment that they already knew they couldn’t honor. This level of communication is completely unacceptable and incredibly irresponsible. Families with infants have to plan around feeding, naps, and transportation, and the least USPS could do is notify customers when an appointment has to be canceled. A simple phone call would have saved us a needless trip and a lot of frustration. I hope management addresses this lack of communication and professionalism so other families don’t have to go through the same experience.

This is my local post office and the closest one to my house. I am now going to go out of my way to never go here again because the shipping clerk that helped me today had the worst attitude I have ever seen. I was the only one in line and I rang the “ring in need of service” button and the man turned around to glare at me and shook his head. Go to therapy or anger management for your attitude instead of taking it out on customers. Don’t waste your time going here unless they hire people without the massive bad attitude
