Back story. So we had our mail held at the post office last winter the snow plow took out our mailbox . I went a little crazy in concrete because we've had mailbox getting hit in the past. We tried lifting out with cherry picker nothing but renting a Jack hammer worked. My mother in law was diagnosed with heart failure so we've been very occupied with that. Then our beloved Jasmine Rottweiler was diagnosed with cancer. We've been dealing with her treatments in Madison and keeping her happy and pain free . Trust me it's very inconvenient picking up our mail 20 minutes round trip but picking up our mail was nice because we were getting ALL of our mail because our incompetent mail lady can never deliver all of our mail. We get neighbors mail we and they get ours regularly. One Christmas she delivered my sons laptop a mile away. Nothing even close to our address. Amazon is more accurate delivering. So We really weren't focusing on this mailbox. So my wife goes into the office to grab the mail and PAT confronts my wife we need to get our mailbox up. She let him know our issues and told him we just put our dog down the day prior. He very rudely says we've already heard that excuse! So my wife walks out in tears calls me and now I'm furious. So I call up and let Pat have it because anyone would when someone made their wife cry. The lack of compassion for our situation was absolutely disgusting. I'm trying my hardest to have Pat fired at very least demoted. I probably will never be successful but I know it's a post office and they aren't known for customer service but I'm so livid over this. So in retaliation over my conversation with Pat he sends mail carrier out with our mail and I just so happened to be out there getting mailbox done because my wife refuses to ever step a foot in that office again. The mail lady pulls up with our mail and said Pat was returning our mail to sender. She calls him asking him the required height of mailbox so he knew we were starting mailbox and actually we had a temporary one up one day and that last big storm crushed it that day. Anyway the point is Pat knew we were ready because I even told Matt the Post master this whole thing. He left Pat a note. Guess what I go into pick up the mail Pat returned it. I get informed mail I know exactly what mail I am getting. Two very important pieces of mail got returned to sender. Remind you Pat CLEARLY did this as revenge because the mail carry told us and had that current days mail. BTW you can't send my mail back without sending me a written notification of this. The mail carrier had not letter of this just her mouth and I just so happened to be out there what if I was at work .A couple days later I went to pick up two days of mail because at this point I had a mailbox up and I've gotten mail again. So when I went to get mail left Matt says they can't find it. I will say Matt and Mark are awesome and the two relief carriers we had when the regular one was out were amazing. But that alone I Can't I can't justify anything over 0 stars if I was allowed to do so. Oh and I had the same mailbox for 9 years the new one is the same. She can't figure out how to use it. It literally had instructions inside . You literally put mail on the lid and close it and it drops like the ones inside most post offices. She leaves it in the out going slot which defeats the whole point of this mailbox . She also wants me to put my mailbox lower than the recommended 41-45" height because she hits her mirror on them. She literally has a busted mirror on her van. Well if I went off what she wants she has to hand her arm down reaching out her arm making it much harder on herself all so her van mirror goes over top the mailbox. She probably will be collecting workers compensation for back problems. I have a camera facing the mailbox in case she hits ours. It's a circus show over there I swear. I just want my mail and no one else's. It's important because I really don't want my confidential mail going to whoever. Let's do better or get better help.

Dear Post Office Management, I would like to suggest a potential improvement to the PO Box customer experience that could also create an additional revenue opportunity. For customers who work until 5:00 p.m. or later, especially those working six days a week, accessing mail during current lobby hours can be difficult or sometimes impossible. Implementing a secure key fob or electronic access system for PO Box holders would allow extended access beyond standard hours. Access could be limited to approved customers and restricted to certain hours (for example, until 9:00 or 10:00 p.m.) to maintain security. This type of system would require minimal staffing, involve a relatively small upfront investment, and could be offered as an optional paid service for customers who need extended access. This would greatly improve convenience for working customers while also providing an additional source of revenue for the post office. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, A PO Box Customer
