I am writing to express my concern regarding my recent experiences at my neighborhood Staples location. On multiple occasions, I have tried to complete print and business service orders, but the location appeared to be understaffed and unable to meet the quoted turnaround times. As a result, I have had to take my business to FedEx in order to get my materials completed on time. I understand staffing challenges can happen, but it is frustrating to be given quoted timeframes that cannot be upheld. As a business customer, I rely on accurate timelines and dependable service. Be highly cautious when using this location for Amazon returns. I dropped off a return here on April 29, and their Amazon system was completely down. Instead of following a proper contingency procedure, the associate simply pointed to a handwritten "Amazon System Down" sign, took my package, and provided zero receipt or tracking proof. Because they failed to scan the item or provide a paper trail, Amazon kept my return status stuck on "Waiting for drop off." I had to spend an hour escalating the issue with Amazon Support, providing GPS logs and photos of their handwritten sign just to force a manual refund. Management needs to address this immediately. If the system is down, employees must be trained to either refuse the package or provide a manual receipt. Taking expensive items without providing proof of drop-off leaves the customer entirely liable for Staples' technical failures. Avoid doing returns here.
