- BKBrit KMay 29, 20261.0I got married and changed my name with Social Security after waiting a month and a half for my appointment. My new card was FINALLY going to be delivered on 5/23/2026 per USPS Informed Delivery. It still has not come. I have a DMV appointment coming up to change my drivers license that I now have to cancel because the incompetent United States Postal Service has lost my SSN card. I can’t login to the SSA website to request a new card online because despite having a verified account, the website is saying my information cannot be verified. Now I have to wait until JULY for an appointment at Social Security just to get a new card and then wait god knows how long until I can get another DMV appointment. All because USPS lost my mail. Thank you SO MUCH for being so awful at your job. I also really appreciate that you’ve now put me at risk of identity theft since no one can tell me where my card is.
