  They have the worst customer service at the Mascoutah post office location...most of the staff seemingly hate their job including the mail carriers. They stuff large packages that aren't intended to go into small mail boxes which prevent you from opening up the mailbox. I have complained on numerous occasions but they continue to do exactly the same thing. They rather take packages back to the post office instead of delivering them to the door. I cringe everytime I have to go into the local office. I do not recommend this post office unless you absolutely have to go.

  I recently moved just outside of Mascoutah and due to my business I frequent the post office a lot. I find it funny that a post office can have such low reviews, but decided to go since they are the 2nd closest post office to me, and they are open normal post office hours. Keep in mind that this is a small town post office and I am going to assume they don't get as much traffic as a bigger post office. On the day I went the lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I try my best to support smaller towns when I can, so I'll choose to go back to this one over going to the base post office. 5 stars from me!

  Trying to contact this postal service is a joke. It’s impossible to get through to talk to someone. They’ve been holding my mail for a new address, although I never asked for it to be held Bc the house is being renovated. Now I can’t get through to get my mail delivered. No one has time for this!!

  Insured / priority package was delivered to wrong address, USPS Mascoutah has geotag that proves they mis-delivered the package. Yet when the shipper files a claim, because it says delivered (and cannot be changed in the system) the claim was denied. Forget about finding the package, the recipient claims they never received the item. This wasn't the first time packages have been lost, or mis-delivered, at least most times it's only a house away, not several blocks away.

  I have been in to the post office a total of 4 times... Of those 4 times I had a RUDE person twice, an indifferent person once and and great person once. I will say the one person that was indifferent wasn't exactly friendly but she did let my 5 y/o daughter, whom was having a potty emergency, go where she was unauthorized and relieve herself.... I guess she figured a 5 y/o wasn't too big of a threat. But I will say that our mail has been very sporadic. Somedays we go without mail at all... And that NEVER happens. This last almost 2 weeks has been REALLY bad. We have a very nice mail lady but I guess something happened to her or she is on vacation and there hasn't been a regular replacement. Mail usually comes around noon and somedays it hasn't come until 5 or doesn't come at all... I had a package that was rerouted by USPS and gauranteed to me by tues and it is not fri and I sold the item on ebay and now I will be late and risk bad rating for shipping it off since I haven't gotten it. Tracking says it has been at the local station for 3 days. SOOOOO frustrating! THEY NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER!!!
