I have been coming to this UPS location on Touhy for years, and I have never experienced anything remotely as unacceptable as what happened today.
On April 24, 2026, I received an Amazon package that arrived in poor condition—something that has unfortunately happened multiple times, whether due to UPS or Amazon. The item was never opened, and I initiated a standard return through Amazon, which was fully approved. This is a routine process: scan the code, tape the box if needed, and provide a receipt.
Instead, my father and brother were met with outright hostility. The employee on duty refused to accept the return—something that is not even within his authority to deny once Amazon has approved it. From the start, he was aggressive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional.
It escalated to the point where this employee actually threatened my brother, saying he would “whip him.” That is not just inappropriate—it is disturbing and completely unacceptable under any circumstances. This is a customer service environment, not a place for intimidation and threats.
The situation became so hostile that the police had to be called—all over a basic Amazon return that should have taken less than two minutes to process. There is absolutely no justification for this kind of behavior.
What makes this even more concerning is that after looking at reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated incident. Multiple people have reported similar experiences with this same individual. That points to a pattern of behavior that UPS has clearly failed to address.
UPS needs to take this seriously. No customer—or their family members—should ever be threatened or disrespected while trying to complete a simple return. This employee should not be working in any customer-facing role, let alone representing your company.
Completely unacceptable.
