- DRDon RobertJun 8, 20261.0Recieved mail today (6/8) several pieces were water soaked, envelopes and contents ruined. Went to the post office to voice my concerns. I spoke with someone behind a wooden door that had a wooden window that opened, she didn't identify herself, maybe postmaster, red hair female. Described my frustration, she apologized, replied that during heavy rain, the mail can become wet when the carrier places in the mailbox. I replied that I didn't agree with the explanation. Once the mailbox is opened, the distance between the delivery vehicle and the mailbox is arm length at best, and the time it takes to place the mail is 2-3 seconds at best. She offered to speak to the carrier, I asked what good that would do, she restated that since there was heavy rain, not much she could.do. I replied that this situation is one of many why the USPS is going out of business, her reply was, "well" and closed the wooden window. Now I have to take time going to the madison county admin building to get a copy of my real estate tax bill and make several calls to other business to get copies of my damaged mail.

I had no idea how to package or place the labels on the package. The young lady working the counter assisted me in preparing the package. Actually she taped up the box and placed the labels in the proper locations. This assistance was an enormous help for me. This was the best experience if had wth usps in years. I have a renewed faith in the usps. Thank You for assisting me.

- MHMary HueyFeb 4, 20221.0I went in a couple days ago to see if my package was there because my package was late so I thought i’d go in and see if it was there. Some red haired lady was horrible to me she said “just because it says it’s going to be there that day doesn’t mean it will.” and was openly huffing and puffing acting like i was wasting her time. She asked me to read to her my tracking number then said i was being to quiet and yelled at me to be louder. I’ve seen multiple reviews stating how horrible she is with customers and my only concern is why the heck is she getting by with it? Treat people how you want to be treated for gods sake.
