This is completely misleading. I contacted Amazon customer service directly, and they confirmed that returns do NOT require purchasing any packaging — you can return the item in the same product box it arrived in. When I questioned the UPS Store employees, they pointed to a sign (photo attached), but nowhere does it say a new box is required. It feels like they are pushing unnecessary charges onto customers who don’t know the actual Amazon policy. Amazon returns should be simple and free — not an upsell opportunity. I was returning it in the same store for almost 4years now they are forcing to sell their package.
