I have never dealt with a post office as consistently frustrating as the Edwardsville Post Office. Despite multiple complaints and service requests, mail continues to go missing, test mail pieces never arrive, and customer concerns are routinely closed out without any actual resolution. The biggest issue appears to be management. Problems are repeatedly marked as resolved even when they clearly are not, suggesting a culture of checking boxes rather than fixing issues. When customers take the time to report service failures, they deserve investigation and accountability, not a premature ticket closure. That points to a management failure, not an isolated mistake. A competent Postmaster would ensure ongoing delivery issues are investigated, corrected, and followed through to completion. Instead, customers are left chasing answers while the office treats unresolved problems as if they no longer exist. The lack of accountability and oversight starts at the top. Reliable mail delivery is one of the most basic functions of the Postal Service. Unfortunately, the Edwardsville Post Office has demonstrated repeated incompetence in handling customer complaints and ensuring mail is delivered as addressed. Until management starts taking these issues seriously, I have little confidence that service will improve.

I called and got Stephanie on the line about my package not being delivered. She had a horrible attitude and was incredibly rude. I explained that I live at a 4 unit apartment building so Temu not listing my apartment number shouldn't have been an issue. They just leave our packages on the floor under the mailboxes, anyway. She then asked if I had a tracking number. I said yes. That was followed by silence, so I asked if she wanted it. She replied that was the only way she was going to be able to look it up. So I said let me know when you're ready. After looking up the number she informed me that my regular mail carrier was out, so the driver had no idea of how it's normally handled, and I could come and get it at the office. I asked if they could rotate the address for further deliveries. Her response was they had no way of knowing when I would be getting packages or who would be delivering it. I asked her name and for her supervisor. She said she was the supervisor. I asked for the regional office number or how to contact whoever was over her because she was rude. She said I was rude and eventually hung up. I tried to contact the Postal Inspector to file a complaint but after dealing with the automated systems unending prompts it said they were closed (@ 3:30pm) or left on hold indefinitely.
