Tried to charge me $40 to mail a small package less then 3 pounds. Told me that was the cheapest which made no sense - went to usps and it was $15. Definitely don’t feel this was an accident - be careful when shipping and know your rates.

Very frustrated right now. We are a full time RV travel family and move often. We utilize UPS stores for mailbox/package delivery service as its always been the more secure option for us. Went to open up a box last week, as the was the only store within a reasonable distance that came up for us to use. Started order things we needed as a family of 7. Went yesterday to pick up multiple packages that had arrived and was met with attitude about how many packages I had waiting (6) and then was told I couldn't pick up my packages until I paid a "storage fee"? I already paid over $100 for the service of being able to have mail and packages delivered there, now I have to pay MORE? I asked why and she said she didnt know, but thought it was due to either the size of the packages or the amount of packages? I said thats ridiculous, I've never encountered this at ANY UPS store before. None of these were huge packages! I explained that this was never discussed with me when I signed up for the box the week prior and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "I dont know". I said, so I cant have large packages shipped there and she said I have to pay extra? How does this make sense and how is this okay? Also, I STILL dont have the key for my box I rented because they can't find it..
