Horrible lazy staff, they always sit behind the counter with the lights off “to be not be bothered “ like the man sitting behind said. They were out of almost everything except boxes, but they had no tape and they didn’t know when they’d get more in.

I have been experiencing ongoing and extremely frustrating problems with this USPS location for months. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced from any USPS office. Employees regularly provide misleading information, fail to deliver packages properly, and show a complete lack of professionalism. Every single package feels like a battle. Instead of providing reliable service, they constantly create unnecessary problems for customers. Today's experience was unbelievable. I waited for hours expecting an important package. I personally watched the USPS carrier park the mail truck directly across from my house. Instead of attempting delivery, she got out of the vehicle and spent several minutes feeding stray cats. She then got back into the truck and drove away without ever coming to my door. A few minutes later, I received a notification saying my address was "Undeliverable." That is simply not true. The carrier was parked directly in front of my home and never even attempted to deliver the package or contact anyone at the address. After that, I had to waste even more time navigating USPS's automated phone system just to reach a representative and request that my package be held for pickup. Then I called this local office, only to be told that my package wasn't even there and would instead be returned to the sender. This level of incompetence is unacceptable. I have never experienced anything like this in any other state. The problems at this location have been happening for months, not just once. I have already begun filing formal complaints with USPS headquarters and Illinois Attorney General office because this USPS office clearly needs serious oversight and accountability. The current management and employees are failing the community they are supposed to serve. USPS customers deserve employees who actually perform their jobs instead of falsely marking packages as undeliverable and creating unnecessary delays.
