Today, I went to the post office to return school uniforms before school starts. What should have been a simple transaction turned into a disappointing experience.
The employee was on the phone when I arrived. After telling me I needed to package the items, I did exactly that and returned to the counter. Even though there were no other customers waiting, she continued her phone conversation and provided very little customer service. Her tone and demeanor made me feel as though my business did not matter.
What concerns me most is that her attitude seemed to change only after I asked my 12-year-old daughter to record the interaction. Suddenly, the professionalism that was missing appeared.
I was respectful the entire time. I did not raise my voice, use profanity, or display an attitude. I only wanted the same level of respect and consideration that every customer deserves. It is unfortunate that such basic courtesy can sometimes be difficult to find in the very businesses that serve our community.
These experiences leave customers feeling undervalued and unheard, and I hope this concern is taken seriously. I promised I won’t upload the video. She said “ you’re just mad you had to pay for tape.” I replied I’m not upset over tape, I’m upset over your dismissal attitude. I then moved over to the side to tape my items. Another customer went to the counter she needed tape. I offered for her to use my tape. It’s not about the tape. It’s about customer service. I did not get a receipt for the USPS Ground Advantage- she said I couldn’t. I just hope the manager figure how to address this postal service HORRIBLE CUSTOMER ISSUE.

This place is horrible. I’ve lived in my residency for three months now and I’ve received mail about a good four times living here. It’s just really ridiculous. The mail just don’t get delivered anymore. I have packages they get delivered and they sat them right outside the door so anyone can just walk past and pick it up. It’s ridiculous like there is no professionalism at all at this post office. It’s horrible. It’s ridiculous. The staff is very rude
