- AAAnnabelleJun 8, 20262.0Very disappointed with USPS service. I mailed a Certified Mail 5-Day Notice to my tenant on June 3. This was a time-sensitive legal notice related to a landlord-tenant matter and required prompt delivery. The mailing address is in Addison, IL, only a few minutes away from where the notice was mailed. USPS originally estimated delivery by June 5. However, the tracking shows that the item arrived at the Carol Stream Distribution Center on June 3 and has not received any updates since then. It has now been nearly a week, and the notice still has not been delivered. For an important legal document and a local destination only a few miles away, this delay is unacceptable. I paid extra for Certified Mail specifically to obtain reliable tracking and timely delivery. Unfortunately, USPS failed to meet both expectations. USPS needs to improve its handling of time-sensitive legal mail and provide customers with accurate tracking updates and dependable service.
