- TSTekla StaleySep 12, 20261.0Today was a total failure by the USPS Howe, ID. I received a large package notice Friday and called to pick it up Saturday morning. The USPS phone message said the hours are 8am to 9:45am. I arrived at 9:35 and the place was shut up tight as a drum. The door at the post office, however, gave hours of 8am to 9:30am. So which is it? I have mentioned this to the post mistress before, yet nothing changes. It seems the USPS expects them to stay to 9:45 but the office staff believes otherwise. Being a very small community, why is there a distinct lack of customer service and waiting just a few minutes, especially after a phone call with expectations of someone coming? The office is already only open 4 hours each morning. So why not be a little gracious and stay a few minutes to take care of a customer who was on the way?
