This post office manager is terrible! My family had a lot of packages to ship and the Manager complained about everything and was zero help. We left without any USPS help and went to UPS. UPS was very helpful and even helped unloading the car when we arrived. The post office in Glenns Ferry is a terrible example of our government service.

My sister and I are in Glenns Ferry for a week following the death of our grandmother. We have been clearing her house out, preparing to ship items home and it's been emotionally exhausting. We both work in customer service and know very well how hard it can be, we always strive to be understanding and treat customer service employees well. They put up with a lot. Unfortunately, the way my sister and I and another customer were treated by one member of the staff today was shocking. He was rude to us at every turn, condescending, and needlessly difficult. At a few points he was yelling at us. He started the conversation by admonishing us for parking in the wrong lot, insisted we move, asking us why we didn't read the sign. This lot was completely empty. I told him I'd move the car. He was on us about tearing off the old labels, insisted they be TORN OFF, not crossed out, gave us a really hard time about this. Some of these old labels were under tape, which would have required we un-tape the boxes. This didn't make sense to me, as we should have just been able put the new lable on top of the old label. He continued to admonish my sister for this after I had left the building to unload boxes and move the car out of the empty lot to the point where she needed to ask him to calm down. He then began to raise his voice to yell at us for not having written the addresses onto the boxes. I asked him why he couldn't print labels, he acted as though he had never heard of shipping labels in his life, he acted like I was stupid for asking. When was the last time anyone has had to hand write an address on a box? It's 2021, there are shipping labels with barcodes. It got to the point that halfway through moving our boxes into the building, we had had enough of being treated like trash and decided to leave without shipping anything. I have shipped items from many places, my sister has shipped a whole lot of large packages internationally, never has anyone made it this difficult. I have NEVER had to deal with someone this utterly horrible. This occured 4/23/21 at 3:40-3:50pm.

You cant call this place. I had a question about my old address and there is no option to talk to anybody at the post office. It just takes you in circles on the automated system.
