- TOTom Ostwald2 days ago1.0I went to post office two days in a row this week just to buy one stamp. I was hoping they had a stamp machine in the lobby, but of course they don’t. There were seven great people in line the first day and three of them had a stack of certified letters that were going to take forever to process and only one person working behind the counter so I left. I went back the second day and 5 people standing in line 2 people had packages three people , including the two at the counter, had a stack of certified mail to send. There were two people working, but I waited for 15 minutes and neither person at the counter ever got completely done with all their certified mail so I finally left. I ended up buying a book of stamps online and paid more than I would’ve paid if I bought it personally from the post office. And, you wonder why the Postal Service has a bad reputation?
