Nobody answers the phone doesn’t matter what hour you call or what day.

I just went in to explain an issue where my mail, for the last 6 months to a year (if not even longer), has continuously been delivered to the wrong address. I am getting other people's mail and they are getting mine. I feel like a part time USPS worker at this point having to run mail to other buildings or collect it and drop it off in the outgoing slot. The manager I spoke with immediately came in on the defense and that continued the rest of the conversation. She explained there was a medical emergency today with a carrier in that area and THAT is the reason for the problem. The problem has been identified and it would be rectified soon. *Insert seething angry face with pursed lips from her* I genuinely feel for any medical emergency that happens as well as the carrier that experienced one today. I am a former RCA so I know the demands of this job as well as life happening in an unfortunate way. But, that doesn't explain why this is the 3rd time I've come in to address this issue, nor why this has been a recurring issue for a long time now. Today, not only did I not get my mail but I got the unit next to mine's mail as well as mail for the building next to mine with a different unit number. You'd have thought she was trying to glare through me for bringing a rather basic problem to her attention. I didn't get her name but whoever she was needs to take a chill pill and work on built up tension and anger. For context, today, prior to this, I stopped in at the North Liberty USPS location with the same tone, attitude and demeanor (I wasn't yelling, aggressive or hostile at all, simply frustrated and direct with this recurring issue) and spoke to a manager there and received an entirely different experience. He was kind, conversational and friendly in our interaction. I remember when I was an RCA in the Academy, my Academy instructor asked us all which location we were going to. People went around sharing their location to which they received positive feedback and enthusiasm regarding. When it got to me and I said, "Coralville" she laughed and said, "Good luck." I asked why and was told it has a notoriously bad reputation for management and how employees/customers are treated there. I think their 2 stars review validates that as well as my own personal experience having worked there. That manager is a great example of the reputation it has, I guess. Keeping things consistent out there. *sigh*

I moved to the area about a month ago and forwarded my address online like I’ve done a million other times. Well it’s been a month and I still haven’t gotten any mail. Tried to call NO ONE ANSWERS the phone just rings. So instead I have to go online and fill out a customer service form and wait for someone to reach out to me. Spoke with who I am assuming is the manager. She told me I needed to come in and have them verify my identity before I could start receiving mail. I’ve never had to do this. I come in and the worker at the desk tells me I should have been emailed a barcode so he could verify my address. I obviously don’t have said barcode. So instead he hands me a forwarding mail form to fill out. At this point I’m so frustrated because this worker did not have a care in the world about what I was saying. I asked for Brandi the lady I talked to on the phone. He reluctantly went and got her. She said all they needed was to scan my ID. Instead of her doing it she let the man who thought I had a barcode in my email help me. I have no faith that the months worth of mail I haven’t received will ever make it to me. Which included my tags for my vehicle and my security deposit from my last apartment. I have never been so frustrated and stressed in my life. I once again have forwarded my address multiple times and have NEVER had an issue. I know all my issues are due to this post office being ran by people who don’t have a care in the world. This place needs to be reported to a higher level.

Why can't you just get a person on the phone. Worst company that should be dismantled.
