  This is the second time I’ve had a package to make it to their post office and it gets sent back to Des Moines and then eventually it gets delivered to my house several days late. This is the most disorganized post office.

  I went in to this post office literally over a month ago to have a package delivered. Delt with a very rude and disrespectful woman behind the counter the first time. After about a week of dropping package off it got delivered back to me. So took it in to the same post office to find out why it got delivered back to me. The nice lady the second time told me she didnt understand why. Had packaged delivered again and waited over a month. Stopped in the post office today 6/10/2026. To find out that my package for the entire month had not even left the post office. Payed 66.25 to have my package delivered internationally which in there office specifically says 6 to 10 business days. I asked to receive a refund because obviously the U.S postal service in this area is to incompetent to do there job correctly. And was told that they couldn't give me a refund , but could try and resend it once again. Now why would i trust that someone please explain ? . To me this postal service has become a complete joke and a waste of time and ripping people off of there hard earned money. I can promise you this the U.S postal service has completely lost my respect and trust 💯. Honestly the only thing they are good for is delivering junk mail to people

  This location is a joke. Not only are they slow but their machines are down more than they are working. The ice cream machines at McDonald’s are more reliable than this place. I’ve been to this location 5x in the past 2 months bc it’s the closest to my house but 4 of those times I waited in line and they announced they couldn’t take payment or scan anything.

  Update I feel retaliation from making a complaint. They are getting closer to putting medication in the mailbox however the point is to keep it away from the elements.instead they shoved it bending my other mail and did not even shut the mailbox. That medication clearly fit and it coukd gave been shut. Take pride with people's things. It is not difficult. I have absolutely had it with this post office in Cedar Rapids. The carriers will place obvious medications in the snow, leave your mailbox open on rainy days, and after making a complaint about said medication being left in the snow they do it again. Tgey are trained per their codes to keep medications away from the elements meaning inside the mailbox if there is room which there always is. They cite it is because of subs. No. Every single person working for USPS should be trained on how to keep medications away from elements. Tonight the mail carrier could not apparently find my house that I've lived at for 8 years Then I called the post office and spoke to the manager who promised a new carrier would be out tonight. They have not showed. I did nit gwt a phone call saying it was now delayed until tomorrow. This is mismanagement. Im extremely frustrated and will be filing an OIG complaint.
