  I have been a loyal FedEx customer for as long as I can remember. However, I switched to DHL after encountering several problems sending time-sensitive mail via FedEx. I spoke with and wrote to FedEx’s upper management and did not even receive an acknowledgment of my letter. Therefore, the next time I had time-sensitive information to mail, I went to a DHL office. It was a small office, but the person at the desk was welcoming; friendly; and overwhelmingly helpful. As I did with FedEx, I mailed a time-sensitive set of documents to a European country. Robin, the person who prepared my paperwork, told me that the package would be delivered in fewer than ten days. I was skeptical; however, that time was much better than the last package I mailed via FedEx. Lo and behold, my package arrived at its destination in less time than I was told. "Holy crap! I said to myself. That’s great.!” I have mailed a few more packages to Europe, all because of Robin at DHL.

  I had to ship something to Ireland awhile back and came here after the USPS quote was astronomical. Not only was it more affordable, Robin (the best) followed up with an email confirming when it had been delivered. He knew it was very important. Since then I've happily redirected 2 packages over there so I didn't have to wait all day to sign for a package. Excellent service and convenient location.

  I went to several shipping companies trying to arrange international shipping for a high-value item, but everywhere I went, I ran into problems. In the end, the DHL store run by Robin was the only place that actively helped me by checking different options and finding a solution, and I was finally able to ship the package successfully. Robin was extremely kind and explained everything clearly, and they also provided shipment follow-up updates, so I was able to send my valuable item without worrying. I highly recommend this place for international shipping. Their prices were also more reasonable than other shipping companies.

  without Robin's friendly help, it would be impossible to send shipments with return labels and envelopes from honolulu abroad. DHL seems the only shipping service still interested to serve customers. (FedEx and UPS seem to maximize revenue by minimizing the available services and overloading their employees.)

  I had a great experience at DHL on King St after running into issues with United States Postal Service. My package to Singapore had been returned from customs, and USPS wasn’t very helpful in resolving it, so I decided to try DHL after doing some research. I’m really glad I did. Robin at DHL was incredibly helpful and made the entire process smooth and stress-free. He handled all the details that you would normally have to figure out yourself at USPS, and took the time to make sure everything was properly documented for customs. Since I was shipping STEM kits (with the battery already removed), he made sure the package had the best possible chance of clearing without any issues. He even called the airport on a questionable item (laser tag kit) to make sure it’ll pass. We spent about 2 hours and I’m not mad about it. On top of that, he was genuinely friendly and easy to talk to, which made a frustrating situation much better. If you’re shipping internationally, I’d definitely recommend DHL, and if you can, ask for Robin.
