  Horrible title company. Difficult to reach over phone, lacks professionalism and clear communication. The receptionist seemed like the most professional person there. Don't think my assignment officer even reached out to me, but I'm not even sure who it was. Emails came in from different people, and the portal was not functional for my tech brain to have any patience with navigating. Was so bad , even down to wire transfer instructions, made me question if I was being scammed...I'm still uneasy after everything closed

  Here is my completely objective Review of First American of Hilo...I have done many many closings with TItle companies over the years, THis is by far the worst. My Experience with Keith Kunimoto was unprofessional and lackluster, and not worth the fees. Firstly, on his introduction email, he states that " if there is anything I can do for you, just ask".. So there were many things that needed attention in this foreclosure, usually he would answer my emails after 4-5 days, if lucky, when he would answer, he would space half the questions and I had to re ask them. We get the paper work in order, then they direct me to some document portal of theirs, which is glithcy and prehistoric, the document portal is not user friendly, and once I manually verified all my personal information with them, they ask me to re-do it in the portal, the portal is all glitched out, so then they send me to a tech, ( 3rd party), to help fix the glitch. Im like " you want me to spend my time fixing your website". Anyways, there were so many errors in the closing docs, easy things that are basic. after I corrected them, we had a outside company do the signing, in which, I found more errors, much to the surprise of the notary. THen the guy picks a random date for closing, I say, no, we are not waiting45 more days to close on the property. There is a container coming, and there is no damn reason we cannot close sooner. So ,after more delayed email, the guy adjusts the closing date. The whole thing was just off. Then, at the end of the transaction, they ship copies of the closing docs, to the wrong address and dont even register itor ask for signature gurantee !!! So the docs got lost in never never land, with all my company and personal information. If it wasnt for Danelle ( nice woman), this company would fall apart, IMHO. I would pay anybody to use a different title company, I feel that poorly about them.
