Extremely rude customer service, specifically from this indian looking lady named “Kirti Patel,” whoever this woman’s supervisor is, please have a word with her. I’ll be filing a complaint.

I just went to the post office a few minutes ago to see if I could get compensated because during transit, my ceramic swan that I sold to a customer, got mishandled, despite it having “FRAGILE,” and “HANDLE WITH CARE,” stickers and I also securely packaged it with bubble wrapping, papers, tape, etc,. it still got mishandled on the way to the customer’s destination during transit. I’m not blaming this post office for what happened at all, because things happen, but the ceramic swan that I bought for originally was pretty expensive, and I sold and sent it out to the buyer, so I was just upset that happened, and I’m sure that my buyer is also upset because she was unable to receive it. So, I waited to speak to a supervisor, and I explained the situation to the guy that I was speaking to, he was really nice and kind, but this Indian lady, her name is KIRTI PATEL, she barged into the conversation while I originally was speaking to the guy, she told me that they couldn’t do anything about this issue because I’m supposed to file a claim online, I tried to do that yesterday night and the USPS site to file a claim stated “service is unavailable,” and that’s why I went to this post office in the first place, and she kept telling me that “they couldn’t do anything about it and I have to file a claim,” and also get paperwork, well I was unable to do that because the “file a claim” online service was unavailable, and that: why I went here for help because this was out of my knowledge. Then, she was also pointing out that I used the wrong packaging, every time I tried to apologize, she would cut me off and still go on about how I’m unable to send it out that way or like that, I told her that “I understand,” and “I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to do that,” and she kept cutting me off and wouldn’t let me speak despite me apologizing countless of times and telling her that I didn’t know. Even worse, she was snickering at me to the guy that I was supposed to be talking to, and laughing at me like I was stupid and had low IQ. She was extremely rude and also told me since I used the wrong packaging I won’t be able to receive my money back or get compensated, and she told me when it delivers to the person’s house, I won’t get paid because I used the wrong packaging that was meant for express. She also told me it was $31 for this packaging and the package was worth more than my item. She also laughed about the price of my item that I sold it for when I told her, and told me I won’t be able to get compensated because the packaging was more than my item. I also told her that these supplies were shipped through the USPS website for free, and I had no knowledge I wasn’t supposed to use “express packaging,” and I have been using it despite not knowing, and I still get my money because it still gets delivered despite using the wrong packaging. She kept cutting me off as I was trying to explain I still get my money and it still arrives to the buyers’ destination. She kept on snickering at me as well and walked away. When she walked away, the guy that I originally was speaking to, is really sweet and never cut me off once, and explained in a nice manner and let me spoke. The woman, Kirti Patel, should really be spoken to about her attitude and the way she treats customers that walk into office, she genuinely made me really upset, and I don’t like the way I was treated.
