  Needed to have documents notarized and when my bank would not I was referred to UPS. The staff was very helpful and professional.

  Th is is my neighborhood UPS store, which has always been my favorite place since the staff is consistently friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience there today. I visited to have a notary witness my signature on a document that was not in English. The notary refused to provide the service, stating she could not do it because she didn’t understand the content of the document. I explained that I only needed her to verify my identity and witness my signature. I offered to show my driver’s license and even print a clean copy of the document to fill out and sign in front of her. Despite this, she categorically refused. I had no choice but to go elsewhere. Once home, I called the National Notary Association for clarification. They confirmed I was correct: notaries are required to witness signatures even on non-English documents. If uncomfortable with the content, the notary could have simply asked me for a verbal translation. It’s frustrating to encounter a notary who isn’t fully educated on these basic rules, especially when it inconveniences customers.

  This specific UPS Store is phenomenal. The staff is so efficient and knowledgeable. It’s genuinely a pleasure every time I ship here. I hope that this store gets the recognition it deserves because they are seriously fantastic!
