It is very rare that I write bad reviews, but the locals need to know about this location. I went here yesterday (July 1st). I needed to find a UPS store because I was shipping out some items to the RealReal. UGG boots, a Kate Spade wristlet, a Michael Kors handbag, & a Tory Burch crossbody. When I walked in, I was not greeted & the store was completely empty. I said hello & two employees walked around the corner. It was a clean store, I’ll give you that. The woman said hello & the man did not. He didn’t even ask me how I was doing or anything. He asked me what I wanted to do, so I read him the text from The RealReal. I had never done this before & wanted to make sure everything went smoothly. He acted like I was bothering him or he hated working. He was extremely rude. He was a white man, maybe in his early 50s (could’ve been in his 60s), w/ glasses, & I think he was bald or barely had any hair for reference.I told him I had a QR code that the employee from the RealReal sent me and he acted like that was an issue as well. I told him that the RealReal provided me with a free box that the RealReal paid for. I read him out the code for the box & he interrupted me saying, “I don’t know what you want. I’ll have to see if the QR code works first, so let me scan it.” When I literally just told him, like what? He scanned it & it worked. I said, “yay! It works!” I’m a naturally happy person & he was incredibly rude. I was very disappointed. He asked me, “are you a RealReal employee?” I kept telling him, “no, I’m a consignor. Whatever that is. I’m sorry, but I don’t know how to say that (and laughed-hoping he would too, but he didn’t).. That’s what the text is saying. See?” As I was showing him the text, which he refused to look at for whatever reason. I guess he needs better glasses to do his job & a new attitude. A positive one, not a negative one. He comes back with, “all I need to know is if you’re a RealReal employee”, like over and over again, like I was stupid. Standing there with a smug look on his face. I wasn’t causing any issues. This was my first time doing this. I kept repeating myself & it was as though he wasn’t listening. Horrible experience here & most of the reviews may have to do with him. I don’t doubt those bad reviews. I really wanted to ask him if he was having a bad day because he was so rude! I didn’t. He printed out the receipt & he handed it to me. I asked him (for clarity), “is the tracking number on there? Is there anything else that I need?” He snatches the paper out of my hand & in a snarky manner, he goes while pointing, “yeah, it’s right there where it says tracking number.” I said, “alright, I was just making sure! Thank you!” I needed clarity because those items are high dollar items & this was my first time sending out something to this company. Those items are extremely expensive. I just wanted to gain clarification that everything was done correctly & that nothing was missed or done incorrectly. If he’s a manager, I hope you’re reading this. You should get a different job or find a therapist, if you’re THAT UNHAPPY at work, while also (excuse my language), treating customers like they are stupid or like shit. While yes, he did the job, I left feeling unsatisfied, uncomfortable, and feeling like I did something wrong. I’ve worked in retail management & HR for over 10+ years and he had THE ABSOLUTE WORST customer service experience I have experienced in a VERY long time. As I was leaving, the 3 designer handbags I brought in with me, along with the UGG boots (which he had already grabbed & put back), he asks me, “ma’am? These too?” And I said, “yes, all 3 of those.” I watched him grab them with what looked like force, with annoyance on his face, and as if he was irritated to be there. I told him thanks again & left. He didn’t say thank you, or have a great day, or anything. I don’t know what his problem was, but it sure seemed like he had a big one. 0/10 recommend this location. Avoid him & this location, like the plague. I have already reached out to corporate & am waiting to hear back.
