  The Grovetown location of a UPS store used to be the best. I’m not sure what’s happening with it now but it’s a total nightmare. The staff is completely turned over. Took a padded envelope in there today to send which was purchased at the store and was told that I couldn’t ship it without a $40 surcharge. (The envelope contained a cord for use with headphones & weighed 2.6 ounces). She said the contents would have to be put in a box. I got no explanation for any of this except to say that it had to be a rectangular box - the padded envelope was rectangular, but apparently that didn’t matter. WhenI asked what could be shipped in the padded envelope eithout a surcharge of $40 she said “paper”. Why anyone would use a padded envelope to ship paper is beyond me. The Customer Service rep was rude & unable to explain the policy. When I told her I had looked it up online before I came and they said they would accept it she said “well that was online but we are here face-to-face“. Needless to say, I went elsewhere with my package.

  The a/c in this store is not working and thats ridiculous considering how hot it is outside. Not acceptable working conditions for employees or for customers.

  Convenient, efficient, easy Amazon returns, reliable, varied services. I use them very frequently. Staff are always pleasant and knowledgeable. Praman was especially helpful and provided clear and thorough information on all of my options for an expedited shipment with insurance on the item and signature confirmation of delivery. My one dissatisfaction was not within the control of the individual UPS store — the cost of overnight delivery for a very small and light package was around $150!!!! I felt that was a grossly exorbitant price that would not fall within most people’s ability to pay, myself included.
