Ellijay Ga post office. Got there at 446pm. Told "I put the line across at exactly 4:45pm" . Had meds delivered that "needs a signature" (1st time ever needed in 10 years) and told "So Sorry come back tomorrow". As a former Gov employee, I know how much you want to get done and bolt at closing, but compassion goes a long way. The woman at the counter has a whole lot of snark in her attitude and absolutely no compassion.

I ordered a package from a website, and after being shipped exclusively by USPS, upon arriving to my area, they appear to have realized it lacked a unit number. But instead of returning it to the post office (correct procedure) due to insufficient address information, or even back to the sender, they instead, and i quote here, "Guessed as a Courtesy"!!! They freaking GUESSED. WITH MY PACKAGE. MINE! They put the package in someone random's unit locker and marked it as "delivered"!! I came to the mail area where we live to find our mailbox empty, and the parcel locker OPEN! Thanks USPS, I'm so glad you thought SOMEONE ELSE deserved my mail! How GENEROUS of you. I may not have expressed it when i entered but i am LIVID that i spent 60$ and you wouldn't even tell me which bozo delivered my package and decided he could play FREAKING ROULETTE with it. What if it had been an adult toy? Important medication? How about a lifesaving medical device? What if it was a package of my last memory of my deceased Uncle? What if it had been my GREAT GRANDMOTHER'S ASHES IN AN URN?! Do they just get to KEEP it miss "They try to guess as a courtesy"? I'm at least 70% certain messing with my mail is a FELONY. One i cannot charge anyone for because nobody knew who delivered it???? HOW? I called the sheriff and was told that they, quote, "Hire anyone who will work" as they're short staffed. Words fail to express how angry i am. It's not even just the package, it's the "Haha we sent your mail to someone random and you can't do anything about it! Sucks to suck!!" feel i got when i went there and wasn't able to get anything more than the report of my missing mail sent to the postmaster. Absolutely atrocious. If i even knew how to report this to someone higher i would. Failure on every single front.

This is the worst post office I have ever dealt with. Here are just a few examples. I submitted a hold request online and specified that the accumulated mail should be delivered when the hold is over. Instead of following the rules, the carrier delivered my packages, and they set on my front porch until I returned. The post office did hold my letters, but failed to deliver them upon my return. They didn’t even notify me that they did so. The only reason I am not giving them one star is because I have seen some incremental improvements over the last few months. My hope is that they will realize how bad they are and start working on functioning like a normal post office.

I ordered a pc case and they couldn’t deliver it because it wouldn’t fit in the mailbox. Ofc it wouldn’t like what? They could have atleast dropped it off at the gate. And another time they let a car follow them to the driveway just for the car to steal my package
