  I walked into this UPS store at approximately 2:15pm. No other customers were present and the employee was on the right side of the store at a counter behind the customer service counter. Since I could see her face and she looked engaged in something, I waited patiently for her to finish. A few minutes later she walks toward me at the counter, like she’s going to help me, but continues around and goes to the other side of this long counter behind the main counter, leans on the counter, and opens a binder while she initiates a conversation with the person behind the wall. As they discuss times to be at work on some day that I didn’t pay attention to, this reddish-haired lady completely ignores me (and yes, she knows I’m there). I wait for a minute and I casually say, ”Is there someone who can help me?” She completely ignores me! So, I wait a moment and I repeat the same thing louder so the person behind the wall can hear me (I’m thinking maybe another persons tends the front counter). THIS time the reddish-haired lady quietly mumbles, “yeah!” She proceeds to tell me there’s a kiosk behind me I can use. I reply I prefer to drop off at the counter and ask for a receipt. She processes my return, I thanked her, and wished her a good day. This UPS store needs to take a lesson in customer service from the OLD HIGHWAY 5 UPS store in Woodstock! THEIR customer service is over and beyond friendly and polite! THIS UPS store (which I stopped at because it was in the area of my errands) lacks interest in customers and helping them! I was inconveniencing this woman because I wanted to do my return at the counter instead of a kiosk… with NO OTHER CUSTOMERS in the store! Absolutely pitiful!

  This UPS Store is fascinating. It has the energy of the DMV fewer people, less waiting, somehow worse vibes. I can walk in happy with a package and leave with emotional baggage. I’ve been coming here for years, and the consistency in the feeling I get is impressive. The service gets the job done, but never in a way that makes you feel… anything. Every visit comes with the same mysterious, heavy atmosphere, like the building itself is disappointed in you. I often find myself feeling like I need to apologize to the employees for having the audacity to mail a package, as if I’ve personally inconvenienced the entire store by needing to mail something. The vibe is so cold and solemn it deserves its own Yelp category. If UPS locations had personalities, this one would exhale loudly before saying, “What do you need?” That said, it’s the closest UPS Store to my house, so I’ll absolutely be back. Luckily there’s a Starbucks next door to help me emotionally recover from mailing a package. ⭐️⭐️
