1-Star Review
I had a very disappointing experience with the manager Lance. When I picked up my print order, the employee working the copy station told me I could use the paper cutter because there was no option to add cutting services when I placed my order online. I specifically looked for that option and couldn’t find it.
While I was in the middle of cutting my prints, the manager came over and told me to stop because cutting is a paid service. I explained that there was no option to purchase the service online and that another employee had already given me permission to use the cutter, but he was unwilling to work with me or offer any solution.
The issue wasn’t the cost of the cutting service itself, which is minimal. It was the lack of customer service and the way the situation was handled. A manager should be able to listen to the customer, understand the circumstances, and find a reasonable solution rather than embarrassing a customer in the middle of completing their project.
Because of this experience, I will not be returning to Staples for future printing or office supply needs. The money saved by enforcing a small cutting fee is insignificant compared to the business they will lose from a loyal customer.

Nancy, in the printing department of the Canton location was awesome. She helped me print on demand and even found me a world map to print for a project I was making. Very cool lady!

Needed a document printed and on a time crunch. Waited 45 minutes for code to be received for self service printers. Asked associate who was real, let me now there’s a data issue and they couldn’t do anything about it. Emails show sent, so tried WiFi. Still no code, missing a deadline. Put extra items away and ordered printer for pickup at Best Buy on my way to work. Depending on services only works if the services work. If I can’t depend on a service, may as well eliminate the dependency. If it was a one-off issue, that would be fine. But from what I heard, this is a consistent issue.

I went to Staples Canton GA to pick up a few home office needs. At checkout, there was no one at a register. Adjacent to the checkout was a FedEx returns kiosk with an employee helping a number of return customers. I waited at a register for 10 minutes and finally asked one of the stocking employees to help me check out. I was given, 'The Look'. One girl finally came over and proceeded to scan my two items. I handed her cash. She asked me to enter my phone number on the keypad. I said, "No thankyou. Just my change please." She said I then had to press some button on the keypad that allowed her to proceed. I found the button and pressed it. It then wanted me to fill out some survey. Instead, I just asked again for my change. She said I had to press another button to complete the transaction. I told her I didn't want to read and comprehend some IT person's idea of data gathering. "Just the change, please." She had to come around to my side of the counter and complete the transaction on the keypad. Nonsense. As a consumer I have no desire to enter personal information, donate to the company's favoirite charity, or select multiple options for getting my receipt. I want my change. Next time, WalMart. At least there I can check myself out without waiting, and be gone while Staples is still helping people do Amazon returns for items they did not want in the first place.
Various experiences here. With postage, 100% amazing. The women are always so sweet and helpful and I appreciate them very much. They go above and beyond to help me out. I'm clueless when it comes to technology and sending packages. They are amazing.
My poor rating comes to the Amazon return area. I don't care that it's slow. Technology sucks sometimes and things don't work the way they want to sometimes. The issue comes with the workers. Andrew was so rude today. He would deal with a customer but only said a sentence to them. He had more to say to three other workers about non-work related things. It was terribly rude. When he came to the counter, he finagled the door that only lets you in so he could go out. Then, when a customer was leaving Amazon return, she tried to use the "in" door. Instead of kindly using his words, he pointed at her, and gestured very rudely to go around. Took me aback. Who does that? EsPECIALLY when he pulled the same crap for himself. Rules for thee and not for me, I guess. Then he had the nerve to try and strike up a conversation with another customer. You don't disrespect someone else for no reason and then act "nicely" to someone else. Incredibly rude. Another time I was there, a black woman working the Amazon area was like "AMAZONS DOwN COME BACK ANOTHER DAY." SO rude. I asked a question and she was too busy on her phone to even answer back. Then I couldn't even leave out the door I was two feet away from even though I wasn't served. Absolutely ridiculous. And honestly? Probably breaking fire code. Absurd. Not buying anything from here, that's for sure.
